This race was run as a points race for each of the gas and electric classes . Racing was for overall score with the racer finishing first in a race getting 1 point, second place getting 2 points, third place getting 3 points, etc. With three 10 minute races for points in each class racers had plenty of chances to earn a good score even if they finished low in one of their races.

SCT Stock was the largest class with ten trucks competing for the points. Jimmy Webster with a win and two seconds was the overall SCT Stock winner for the day with a total of five points. Several of the new 4WD Ofna trucks showed up to compete in the SCT Mod class. Bill Hammond proved to be very fast with his 4WD Ofna tuck winning two of the three SCT Mod races. But, Bill didn’t manage to finish the third race and Jimmy Webster, the SCT Stock overall winner, went on the win the race and class.

1/8 Scale racing was very competitive with gas and electric cars competing side by side. The racing and overall points was very close between Shane Stader with his gas Losi Buggy and Karl Rolf with his Hot Bodies electric buggy and they were tied, each with four points going in to the third race. Karl won the third race of the day in the 1/8 Scale class and finished one point ahead of Shane.
